So we all know that the movies are a very integral part of our life. Since decades the only medium to watch these movies was either cinema halls or Television. But last year thanks to Corona one more medium has been added to this list and that is OTT platforms. And people who had a habit of going to theatres and watch movies with their families every weekend has now changed and now those people sit at home and watch the movies through OTT platforms. And now people have become so comfortable with watching movies on OTT  platforms that people are avoiding to watch movie in theatres.


There is a major reason why people are avoiding theatres and that is money. You can get a monthly subscription of any OTT platform and watch unlimited movies at the cost of one movie ticket in theatres. Isn't it cheap? So then what is the future of theatres? Now that is debatable. Right now the situation of theatres is extremely bad. Because people are not coming to their cinema halls and watching movies they are not getting any money. If they dont get money then how will they pay rent of the land on which the theatre is built, how will they play the staff and the electric bill.

If movies keep releasing on OTT then the cinema halls will be no more. Also if movies keep releasing on OTT then it is a danger for all the filmmakers, producers and actors all over the world because in OTT the films do not earn much to compensate the high budget of the movie. Also piracy becomes very easy if movies are released on OTT platforms.

So what is the solution? Right now the only solution that all the filmmakers have that is releasing movies in theatres and on OTT on the same day. People who want the theatre experience of all those mass entertaining movies like the upcoming movie Radhe can go to the theatres and the person who is concerned about his/her safety can watch the movie from the comfort of their home.

Also if they want to release the film on OTT they should ask the viewers to give premium access to watch the movie. Which means you have to pay every time you watch the movie like we do in cinema halls unlike the other movies which you can watch unlimited times by only taking a one time subscription.
